Not 100% sure on a wasserboxer, I think Bjorn might be able to answer this
one, but the 1.8L I have in my Westie might hit 110C - the 2.0L which
doesn't have the water -> oil cooler that the 1.8L has will go to 120C when
I work it hard. Normally they sit around 80C to 90C.

Hey, just curious, but what oil temperature does our vanagon typical hit
when hot? (noticed that redline 20w50 and 15w50 are not recommended when
engine oil temperature is sustained under 225 degrees F....)
