Be forewarned that copycat alloys are usually cast and not forged. Checke what you are buying. I bought a set of Mercedes 14 X 6 alloys which turned out to only look like the real thing in the catalog. The metal finish is inferior. Lots of air in the metal vs the factory forged alloys where the air has been forced out under pressure. With Porsche Fuchs copies (which are not forged) they actually look brighter (and nicer IMHO) but weight nearly double the real thing. When you bump an obstacle hard with a cast rims, they usually crack. Forged rims bend. BenT (pun intended) San Francisco |
