Subject: Porsche Engine? - Thanks to all who replied!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Thanks to all who replied to my question asking what to look for in the '84 Westy that's advertised as having a Porche engine. I have a better idea now as to what I'll be looking for and at.

I'll be checking it out tomorrow on my way to a week in sunny (hopefully) Fla. I'll also be looking at an '87 with a stock engine and an "82 diesel while I'm gone. Hopefully one of these will prove to be the van of my dreams ;-)

As for the "84 with the "Porsche" engine, I'll post a note upon my return as to my findings as some of you may by now be as curious as I am as to what indeed this van does have in it.

Again, glad to be a newbie in what looks like a great list with really friendly members.
