Volks, and feller who wonder'd about the Porche (sic) engine.

TYP914 motors were 1.7,1.8 and 2.0l Flat Fours AKA type 4. Very similar to the AirCooled/Oil Cooked installations in the early vanagons. VERY similar.

Now if the critter in question has a 6cyl air cooled real _porsche_ engine...

The type 4s were VW motors manufactured by VW. The 914 was a Volkswagen 914 in Europe and the Porsche 914 elsewhere. Fine handling with a polar moment of inertia allowing ~1G cornering forces with stock Pirelli CN36 tires/tyres and an admirable drag coefficient. Styling was in the eye of the beholder.

FWIW count the plug wires on the distributor. If 6 then purchase.
