My Camper is one that was saved after it burned out in the rear area. Washed off all I could, changed all that needed, shampooed all that I had to, rubbed and scrubbed. Finally I installed some scent that I liked and that changed the smoke smell into a new acceptable one. After years now the old smell is a new one of "new car" smell. At the beginning you need to let it air quite a lot.
