As long as the muffler is not flattened to the point you can't get the strap around it you might as well use it. My '84 has so many dents everywhere else it wouldn't matter to me.

Now, if you are serious about beauty get one of the new Stebro SS mufflers from Frank, they are on sale for $245 if you are one of the first five to order, and I'm sure they won't have any dents! -- Stuart MacMillan Seattle
