In a 84 westy, does the driver's door light share a fuse with the over-the-sink lamp? These both quit working, and I need to fix.

I also have a question about the submersible pump used for the sink watertank: If there is no water in the tank and a kid or wife goes to check if there is any water, will running dry fry the pump? I was going to drain the tank all the way because it's finally getting a little chilly, but was worried about creating another problem. Is this the reason for big bottles of cheap vodka? I replaced this pump a couple of years ago and don't want to have to do it again.
