Hi Dave,

Which engine are you using...it makes a difference!

It barely sticks out at all..maybe 1/4" or so, and only at the extreme rear corner of the manifold, assuming you are using the CIS-E manifold. The hole is bigger than it needs to be so that you can jockey the engine around while mating it back up to the tranny.
