I'm not sure what your application looks like at this moment or what you
have in mind for the plumbing.  I use 3" 'thin wall' ABS server pipe for my
plumbing - this stuff fits perfectly into the VW throttle valve boots and
the air flow meter boots.  Also there is a LOT of different elbows and
fittings for ABS pipe like this and it can be routed almost anywhere.  It is
also very robust and can handle a lot of heat and vibration.

        I have an 82 diesel that I am converting to an inline 4 golf engine.
My
question is how much does the intake interfere with the driverside
firewall?  I've seen alot of stuff saying or showing cuts made in the
firewall in this area, but no one who has a website that I've emailed seems
willing to tell me how much the intake sticks out of the hole. So basically
I just want to know who much does the intake protrude past the side of the
engine compartment, 1/4 inch?
So if anybody has done this conversion, please help.
