OK, here's a different twist for anyone who's tested their temp 2 sensor at cold ambient temperature: I replaced mine recently, and installed it tests virtually identical to my temp 1 sensor in the AFM (as it should). Both both those values are less than they should be according to Bentley spec. At 20F both sensors should read around 9k ohms, but mine both read 4k, which matches 50F. My old temp 2 sensor in the cold cab ashtray, before I started my van this AM, reads the correct 9k. The new temp 2 sensor, installed, was on spec before I installed it. With my van sitting overnight, temp. in the engine coolant should be the same as ambient temp., no? Or will it keep a modicum of heat even over a 10F night? Jim Creech 87 Westy GL 2.1 |
