Our '85 vanagon had an intermittent problem with flooding at warm startup that turned out to be a coolant temp sensor. Apparently the sensor was temporarily insane and thought that it was cold and then it talked the ecu into asking the fuel pump for more fuel. Our mechanic banished the bad sensor and all was well again. Mike |
