I've done it on an '84 -- hadda remove the oil filter, and having a knack for getting refrigerators into second-floor apartments helped; but it wasn't a big deal. Mind you the existing one had been in place about a week, which may or may not affect the issue. Maybe lost a pint of coolant? Maybe less?
