Hello Listees!
   I've successfully installed a front heater (housing, core and fan) into
the rear of my '86. The housing needed some of the outlets trimmed off, and
I duct taped some others, But it all fits great. My jack, Bentley, snow
chains, and spare belts still fit easily. Wires from motor were even the
same colors. I also used the front heater valve from same parts bus. Front
heater was from a 1985... the front core had NO corrosion, the rear was
totally wasted. There is a galvanized baffle plate in the front housing
right up next to the core... I'm wondering if this is having some
sacrificial corrosion saving effect on the front heater cores?
   P.S. BENEFITS... Heats wonderfully, No leaks or fumes, I'm carrying more
coolant in my system, Maybe the damn thing won't corrode out like its
little brother, I've got 70 more bucks to put in my engine fund!
