Today my van activated it's James Bond 'steam screen' and I rushed to pull over before any damage was done. I have had 2 blown hoses in the past six months so I am pretty quick on the draw now. I expected yet another rotting hose that I have neglected far too long, but to my surprise the coolant was burbling out of a hole in the engine block directly behind the water pump! Is this by chance a freeze plug? If so, can it be easily fixed by any mechanic?
