When I did this on my AFM I could not find a Phillips head screwdriver that fit the screw heads properly. I would guess that the embossed lines radiating out between each slot on the screw heads would indicate these are Pozi-drive screws. I got the screws to back out with a too small Phillips but I had to get up on the deck above the engine and bear down quite forcefully. The screws back out under constant tension and it feels like you are stripping the head. I just thought they were self tapping screws. I hadn't even considered that they might be Loc-tighted.
