Subject: 16" Syncro DC now home & Port Hueneme
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Thanks to all who responded to my inquiries regarding Port Hueneme.

I was able to locate the port and the necessary facilities to complete the importation of my 1989 16" Syncro Double Cab.

This was not an easy process. Next time will be better.

For those interested parties, I have the 16" SDC home in South San Francisco now. I've had a litany of mishaps which cause me to flatbed transport the truck on the final 230 miles of the trip. It runs fine, I just didn't want to take a chance of doing any further damage to her before I got a chance to fully evaluate what else she needed. On the way home, I found a battery near death, a loose alternator belt (probably cause of batt. fail.), and some busted water hoses.

At least that's what I'm hoping it is. A lot of water came out just behind #3 cylinder around the hose. I will evaluate further this weekend.

So as not to clog the list, I will document my adventure/ordeal in my personal webpage later next week.
