Subject: Tire Update
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi again all,

After a long sabbatical, I've returned for a short time with some updates. I asked a long while back about a problem I was having with a tire that seemed to have tread separation. Since I had a weird mix of tires on my van, I replaced them all, even the spare, with a set of Michelin LTX's. This is perhaps the best thing I have done, just behind replacing the shocks with the recommended KYBs, to improve the ride of my van!! It rides significantly quieter and smoother with the new tires and handles MUCH better . . . as long as the pressure is maintained at the recommended 50 psi. The ride gets really nasty in crosswinds if the pressure drops to less than 45, but it is manageable at 50. If anybody's interested in them, I got them from TireRack.
