On the topic of shipping damages. I remember reading a consumer reports article a couple of years ago.... Consumer Reports shipped a equal number of packages with fragile contents through the three largest shippers... U.P.S., Fed-X, and the U.S. Mail. The packages were shipped from various places around the U.S. As I remember, the results were that Fed-X was the fastest and the U.S. Mail the slowest... no surprise there... But.... the U.S. Mail caused the least amount of damage to the contents of the packages... Fed-X caused the most damage.... I guess the old adage 'haste makes waste' applies. Bill Davidson |
