<P>Well its a good thing that Cast Away features Fed Ex with a supporting role by Tom Hanks. </P>
<P>Some guy was telling me that the USPS lost some paperwork worth a few thousand dollars, so he doesn't use them anymore. As far Strike Monger UPS goes, what about having it delivered to your work? </P>

<DIV></DIV>>On a different side of the coin, as a consumer I try to never use UPS.
<DIV></DIV>>THis is because of the policy instituted by the local UPS office where I live.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>They will not leave any package unless signed for by an adult (they no longer
<DIV></DIV>>accept the yellow sticky notes that you can sign and leave on the door.) This
<DIV></DIV>>means that if you are one of the folks that have to work for a living, you have
<DIV></DIV>>to either go to their distribution center to pick up the package - a half hour
<DIV></DIV>>away in my case, or reroute the package to somewhere that someone can sign for
<DIV></DIV>>it - which will add 4 days to the delivery time, provided that they don't loose
<DIV></DIV>>the instructions to reroute (which has happened to me twice.)
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Plus, my experience is that a package is much more likely to be damaged by UPS
<DIV></DIV>>than with either Fedex or USPS.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>So the shipping options that a vendor has tends to be a factor when I select who
<DIV></DIV>>to buy from. For me, UPS means extra hassle and more chance of damage - and
<DIV></DIV>>generally a higher cost than the USPS.
