Subject: Can any one help find my oil leak?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

Today was one of those work on the van days, doing those jobs that I have been putting off and after all the work I am no closer to the solution so I would like to ask if any can shed some light on my problem.

I have an oil leak I and I cannot locate the source.

-it appears to be in the forward (toward driver) area of the engine -Its on the left side (driver side) -I removed the push rod tube cover plate, none of the tubes are leaking -Wife over filled the oil sump by about half qt (above the high mark) its back to normal -16,000 on this engine -the bell housing appears clear of oil -its not coming from the oil cooler -no coolant in the oil -the leak has also lightly sprayed the hatch cover on the left side -valve cover not the source -oil pressure sensor is not the source

It looks like the head may be leaking but then shouldn't I see a coolant some where in the equation?

Thanks in advance.
