OK, all this talk got the hamster which lives in my head (usually dormant) up and running about. For my trip to Seattle next weekend, I am borrowing a sound level meter from someone here at work (who is a noise control engineer) to measure the interior noise level in my van. Then perhaps two or three years down the road when I get around to soundproofing my van, I can compare how many dB I've shaved off. I'll post my uber-scientific results when I get back.
