One key should operate all the external locks and ignition on your Vanagon. There is a different key for the glove box, and MAY be a diferent key for the fuel cap, depending on the cap. Some caps take the regular ignition key, and some use a much shorter key. There are no rekeying kits available for gas caps. In your case, I'd leave the ignition in and have the other locks rekeyed to match. I do it via mail all the time, but there might be a bit of a delay for me to di it for you, as you are in the Netherlands. I'd suggest finding a good, full service locksmith locally and discussing the problem with him. I don't have any idea what charges would be there, but I charge $12 per lock here. The charges will be less if you remove the locks for the locksmith and take the handles and rear lock to his shop, rather than him removing them. If you are not familiar with removal, I'll be happy to give you the instructions. Please let me know if you have further questions.
