Subject: 1989 vanagon gl wolfsburg inquiry
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

I've been looking at a 1989 wolfsburg edition for purchase. I really like this car but want to know more about it. If you have any info that could help please read on.

I think I stumbled upon a really nice car, but I have my doubts because I know very little about wolfsburg editions. First, the seller claims that it is front wheel drive. If it is, is it any good? The seller is asking $4500 with 42000 mi. and claims that "everything works". It seemed to be in great shape when I looked at it. With the original engine, I think I'll have to put at least $1000 into in later on down the road for new heads, am I right? If you could answer any of these questions and/or disscuss any interesting issues, specs, or the history of Wolfsburg editions, please respond. Thank you.
