I looked at doing this about 5 years ago on my 91 Carat. If I remember correctly, in order to use the stock relay location on the fuse block, you need to add some wiring to an existing terminal and make some new terminal connections. I know I had some problems trying to remove the terminals from the fuse block, so I never completed the installation. Installing an aftermarket kit would probably be easier and faster.

Does anyone know how to hook up daytime running lights on US model of Vanagons (1991)? I know the Canadian model has daytime running lights. Anyone know how to hook them up?
