Hi All-

I have developed and put in a lift kit on my 84 Westy regarding this issue 7 years ago. The lift kit generated a 2 inch space between the spring faces and I have had normal wear on my CV joints. I did replace one CV joint about three years ago and I truly believe the replacement of this CV joint was not caused by the lift kit, but by normal wear on the van. By adding the lift kit at the rear of my van, it raised the van 5% past grade and when applying a load to the back of my van (camping stuff, etc) this lowers the van to a level grade and thus the tail sag is not as severe. By doing this, it also stiffened up the ride and it took some of the sway out of the van. E-mail me if you would like to to know more ...I could send a jpeg for those interested

No one wants a saggy rear..especially going over high speed bumps :)
