Being Canadian, buying parts from the US, and being addicted to eBay has
taught me one thing:

UPS WILL SCREW YOU WITH OBSCENELY HIGH "HANDLING FEES" IF THEY TAKE YOUR
PACKAGE ACROSS THE BORDER.

This reason is at the top of a very long list of screw ups, missed
deadlines, etc. as to why I NEVER will use UPS. I had to order a replacement
carafe for my Krups coffeemaker and went through the whole order, gave them
my address and credit card info, etc. and then I asked about shipping. UPS
was the only option... I cancelled the order and sourced it locally, I had
to go out for my coffee for a couple extra weeks but it was worth it not to
use those rip off artists.
