Tom, the situation with the Spam on the List is fine. The amount getting through is negligible. Everyone needs to learn how to use their delete key ! Closing the List to members only will just make life more difficult for those members who have not realised the need for a universal e-mail address that can be used from any location. Once we all do this then maybe we could close the list to members only. Meanwhile use the DELETE key ! Some of that Spam may inadvertently be coming from List members who hit the forward option on that nice little offer and send it to their complete mail list, the Vanagon List being included ! Some self policing is needed also.

Happy New Year
