I will jump in right here, and defend Chris re:UPS to Canada. These guys are
absolute pirates with no conscience whatsoever. I had a 20 dollar pair of
boots shipped up here via UPS, and they charged me 22 dollars in brokerage
fees to get them!!! That is absolutely ridiculous. When I contacted their
"complaints" dept. or whatever it's called, they basically said too bad,
don't use UPS anymore. I have always had things shipped via US Post since
then, and never been charged anything except the standard 5 dollar fee
Canada Post puts on any parcel arriving from vendors in the US. The 5
dollars is punishment for us Canucks for not buying in Canada.
