I hope so Seems suspicious to me that the wire is not connected.... my guess... the P.O. had a problem with it... you may find the smell of burning wires when you hook it up... dunno... maybe... Unless it's a heavy duty switch (which the VW stock fog switch is not)... then the wiring should be like this: the + post of the battery is wired to the fog lights through a relay switch... the relay is turned on via a current that comes from the fog light switch on the dash... this current from and through the fog light switch is very small... just enough to actuate the relay... that way you don't burn up your switch on the dash and the current from the battery runs more directly to the fog lights if it doesn't have to go via the dash (less voltage loss = more light on the road)... good luck, Bill |
