I told them that I wasn't interested in a van for the price of an Audi S4. Told them to leave building gadgety minivans to Chrysler. I said I was more interested in the T5, and I wanted a full time AWD V6 TDI w/ 6 speed Westfalia. But the concept sure looks cool. I agree with you Gary - make it more simple. But that's why they build concepts, right? To gauge opinion. However, my fear is that with most VW models of late, it will be too upmarket, and getting away from the simplicity for which VW has been known. Just look at the A4 GTI. What a bloated pig it has become. So I hate to be a doomsday prophet, but I think that VW will be going after the Chrysler Grand Caravan people with whatever they produce. Expensive and gimmicky. Status symbol. Usefulness long forgotten. No replacement for displacement. Forget building something with good gas mileage - just put a big gas sucking V6 in there. Terry, you can call me Dr. Doom now... Keith > Gary Stearns wrote: > > VW's website for the new Microbus asks for feedback. Here's what I > told them. Give them your opinion. |
