Hi all! With all the postings about starter problems, I thought it would make sense to post a product I just read about in the February 01 issue of VW Trends. On page 12, there is an ad from Jacobs Electronics, 500 N. Baird St, Midland, TX 79701. (No, I have absolutely no affiliation with them). They have a zero gauge wire that is meant to replace the two gauge wire found standard in VWs to power the starter. According to the article, the voltage drop with the two gauge wire is about 2.5 volts. With the zero gauge wire, its onlt .1 volts. This comparison is for ten feet of cable. Might be a wise investment... Z |
