What is the advantage to having this rubber gasket as apposed to the cork one? Does it prevent seapage or something? Brad

Uh, yeah. That's why I mentioned you get the studs too. "...Potter has them, with conversion studs;..."
Here is a paste from the web site: OEM Rubber Valve Cover Gasket Part #037103483C Comes with studs to convert. For all 8V applications.
