Yes the hair dryer will work Bill. However, the heat of the hair dryer will not remove the glue. After the stripe is removed Bill, you have to go back over the area where the stripe was, and loosen the glue with a solvent, and then rub it briskly with a rag, then polish where you have scratched the paint. Guess what? This wheel thing, works about 3 times faster, does it all in one movement, and safer for the paint. How do I posses all this knowledge? I refinish semi-tractor trucks for a living Bill, and have been removing door decals and stripes, prior to refinishing them, for 25 years.
