Listees: Recently purchased a 1985 Vanagon Camper - nice. BUT the cruise control does not work. Any simple or easy suggestions for first checking, before heading to a mechanic. We are planning the first LONG trip and would like the cruise to work if possible. Ease foot strain (sic). Any help will be appreciated. We are in Racine, WI near Milwaukee. Any good, recommended, mechanics in the area?

Mercedes (I am not the car!)
