Okay,

First I want to say THANK YOU EVERYONE for your help in my starting problem. It was solved with a new set of points and a condenser. If it happens again, I know what to look for now!

Anyways, I now (or have had) a small annoying problem with the gas gauge. When it gets around 1/2 to 1/4 tank it reads really irratically. It'll read empty, or accurately, or needle won't even come out... I'm wondering if it's the sender, gauge, exciter, or what? Any suggestions?

Oh, it's a 1981 "Plain Jane" Vanagon.

Thanks again!!!
