A friend of mine was stationed at Subic Bay P.I. at the time Mount Pinatubo erupted. His car at the time had all of it paint burned off, and driving it around after it was over with all the dust caused his oil to turn to concrete and ruin the motor. I remember him commenting on the K&N I installed in my van, that after the eruption about the only thing moving on the base were all the "hot rods" with the K&N filters installed. Needless to say that he puts on in every new vehicle that he gets.
