Subject: dual battery types
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I have read the posts in the archives on the subject. Most times, the battery used is the Optima because it will fit under the driver seat. The Sittsers used a Douglas U1 battery in the compartment next to the water tank.

The optima is too rich for my blood. They are 300CD here in Victoria. Are there any other battery types that anyone has used successfully?

There is room in my 84 in the space behind the taillights on the driver side of the engine compartment. The ECU is there now but it could be relocated. Has anyone tried that installation with success? -- E J Smith 250 386 0874
