I seem to remember reading (somewhere) that the Smart could come to the US as in electric-only form to help DaimlerChrysler meet California electric vehicle quotas. Or was it the M-B A-series that might make the trip?

Anyways...you might have seen a test vehicle. Did it have manufacturer's plates by any chance?
