My Stainless Steel muffler is a stock muffler other than being stainless, so it is not intended to increase performance. Its benefit over a stock muffler is that it is likely to last considerably longer by virtue of its stainless-bodied design - and at no higher cost than a conventional non-stainless muffler. I should mention that the flanges are not stainless, just the body itself. I could unequivocably state that you would not find a more reliable muffler for anywhere near the $109 selling price (actually lower with listmember discount). For this price you can hardly get an OEM spec muffler, much less a stainless steel one.

I also sell the S&S exhaust systems, which will slightly improve performance. More than just a full-flow muffler, the S&S system is a true header system, and sells for about $300 complete (including all pipes and muffler). It is not stainless and is unlikely to last as long as a stainless steel system, but is the best option for your van if you want to maximize performance.
