Thanks for the reply. I was referring to the clip itself rather than the sensor wire, though your idea regarding the wire makes sense as well. This clip is called the retaining spring on page 24.49. Given the orientation on this page, the retaining spring on my '87 is rotated 180 degrees. Therefore, it is very hard to reach. I'm wondering if either orientation is ok.
