hey all, after getting my 90 back together with new engine and all, it is time to do what i have been saying i was going to do and that is sell the 82 westy. the good points: the westy has a rebuilt 2.0 aircooled engine with 50,000 miles. 175,000 on body. tranny and clutch are in great shape. all camping gear works like new. new sink pump. poptop in great shape, although there is one small hole but is has been patched. new altenator, new clutch master cylinder, new egr valve, new spark plugs, cap, rotor and wires. new belts and vacuum lines. mechanically in great shape!! the down points: front driver side quarter panel dented and windshield broken and needs to be replaced. when i replaced the clutch master cylinder, air got into the brake system and now brakes need to be bled (easy job). minor rust starting around wheel wells but can be easily fixed. paint is fading in spots. cosmetically i give it a 6.5 out of 10. mechanically i give it an 9 out 10, brakes being the only problem. she's a great ride and will not require much work to get her road ready, just a new windsheild and brake bleeding. cosmetic stuff can come later. i am asking $2000 for her. i am in hyde park new york and my number is 845-229-7379 thanks jason _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com |
