Zoltan,
I've replaced the rear mounts, but it made no difference. When I did a
clutch job, and the flywheel was resurfaced, the chatter went away for a
period of time, but came back pretty quickly.
I know that the tranny mount is bad (loud banging sound and wear marks
inside the mount), but haven't gathered the big bucks to replace it. I've
purchased a new (used) flywheel with a fair amount more material than my old
one.
I'm gonna pull the engine and replace that flywheel fairly soon, at which
time I'll probably replace the tranny mount. I'll type up a report at that
time.
