I'll second Bill's recommendation of the Bosch Fuel Injection book. It is extremely thorough and well written, and can be understood by anyone with a high school diploma. Well, maybe. ;-) I have found it indispensable for trouble shooting. I recently used information I found there to set my CO so it would pass emissions. That saved paying someone $40, and paid for the book. For those who are curious, the book states that a hot O2 sensor should generate about a half a volt at the proper mixture setting (lambda = 1) at idle. Now you can use a voltmeter to at least approximate your CO setting!
