Subject: Australian Vanagon List Server Members - Dash Mat at Autobahn and
              Australia Vanagon Mail Server??
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Folks,

Dash Mats...

Just prior to Christmas I managed to get a dash mat for my Caravelle from Autobahn spare parts. It took 3 days to come in from the supplier. They are made from a supplier in Perth. It cost only $53.00. They are not hard backed like the typical ones you get from K-mart.

I hope this is of use to you.

Australia Vanagon Mail Server??

Do think it would be of some value setting up an Australian E-group for Transporters and Caravelle's? The intention would not be to take away from Gerry (Vanagon List Server) but just for some local contacts and support. I'm thinking when you post a message to the Vanagon Mailing List, you would also cc or bcc to an Australia E-Group.

My reason for this is I've just gone through my records using the search for the last couple of months and realised that a number of you had sent correspondence to the Vanagon Mailing List. I don't read all the Mailing List Stuff only the juicy bits of interest, or ones where I can offer some advice. I run in digest mode for obvious reasons. The Australian content would probably keep us on our toes, and we could compare Apples with Apples on a range of issues, such as parts, or get the "My VW expert reckons...."

E-mail me direct on this if you think it is of value, if there is enough interest I can put a request into Tom Carrington at Reli-Tech in Washington( Vanagon Server Administrator) to see if he can insert a URL to the group wherever we decide to host it.

The e-groups is free, I'm already on about 5 groups and I moderate another 5 for other community based stuff.

Regards,

Chris
