Subject: Not shifting into High Gear (Automatic)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi folks,

Had a strange problem while driving to work today. In the slow and go of the morning after a few miles the traffic picked up speed. While doing so, I noticed that the RPMs were high and realized that my automatic tranny had not kicked into high gear. So I kept it at about 45 MPH and took the next exit. Jumped out checked the ATM fluid which was fine. Well above the max mark. I topped off the coolant overflow tank and got back on the freeway. It shifted normally and had no problems the rest of the way in. Do I need to worry about this? What should I look for? I'd really like to not find out the hard way that there was something that could be fixed and more expensive problem(s) avoided.

Thanks again folks for your abundant generosity.
