This is probably only of real interest to Australian residents on the list.

There is a 1982-model "C" chassis VW Type 256 Bus (Vanagon) for sale. It was sold new during 1983 after sitting in the VW dealer's yard in Townsville for about a year. I arranged its eventual sale to a friend on the Gold Coast where it has lived ever since.

Exterior colour is two-tone "ivory" over "bamboo yellow". It is an 8-seater (2+3+3) with "gazelle" leatherette upholstery. With only 130,000km (80,000 miles) on the clock and always parked indoors, it has been cosseted all its life and is in original totally rust-free perfect pristine condition. It still has the original shipping wax underneath. The engine is a CV series 2.0 litre air-cooled with Bosch AFC fuel injection. It has been removed only once to replace the clutch plate just recently.

This car is for sale because the owner has died. I would like to see it go to a good home because it is so nice and I know its history. If I had the spare money I would buy it. I have no financial interest in its sale. It is a real gem. It would sell for less than AU$6000 (or less than US$3250).
