Subject: Rumbling on Deceleration
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

Hi; Well, I'm the proud new owner of an '84 Westy. It has it's original engine and 4 speed tranny with 140K miles on it. Vehicle seems to run good so far (drove it home 300 miles from point of puchase) except for the loud rumbling noise it makes whenever it is not accelerating. It will do this whether or not the clutch is depressed. It will stop doing this with even the slightest amount of acceleration. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Thanks; Rod
