I would be that "lister".

Sometimes it doesn't make economic sense to try and sell something nobody seems to want when the tax write-off for donating same works out to be worth more. That was my situation, so I went with it.

But the van's not quite made it to the junkyard yet. Still waiting for the tow company to come and get it. I would be happy to let anyone interested know the contact info for the tow company if they want to follow up on buying this Adventurewagen at auction. It does run, and it's all there.

I do regret not having a more constructive alternative for the vehicle, but this is the nature of unique vehicles that appeal to only a small minority of Vanagon owners. Lots of initial interest, but no serious takers, at least none in the local area that could realistically buy it. I'm sure that if it were a standard Westfalia I wouldn't have had a problem selling it, though. Much bigger market.

>>>> where were you a few months ago? i think a lister gave up trying to sell his adventurewagen and actually donated it to ~ gasp!~ charity.. god knows where the poor thing is now... prolly sitting in some junkyard.. :<( i was thinking about that Syncro sunroof that was just posted this eve by WETWESTIES out in the seattle area.. rare van, but that most likely too will be auctioned off, and have an unfortunate demise..

cant save 'em all, i guess.. ;<( chris
