auto tranny question on 89'.

just had the transmission resealed by my mechanic, unfortunately for me he didn't do the best job, continued to leak, so i got back in there right now... but the thing that kinda bummed me out was that when i first got the van back it had weird shifting problems on acceleration....it felt like rear wheels were spinning...the rpms went up but no go. then it would slip into gear and shift normally. this happened a few times, so i told the mechanic about it. i need some tranny knowledge. if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it. also the tranny has always (i've had it for 1.5 years) shifted hard into rev. thanks everyone. this is a great thread. chris. 89 vanagon gl.
