David,

Thank you for your email.

I have been having intermittent problems with this vehicle for some time. First odd symptom was engine power loss every once in awhile, sometimes 50 miles into a trip, sometimes 10 miles.

Next it started blowing a fuse on the voltage regulator circuit. It had an old style "electro-mechanical" voltage regulator, which I noticed had begun to make clicking noises. I replaced it with a new solid state voltage regulator.

I had the alternator bench tested and it seemed fine.

Scott
